잠정적인 집계로 토탈 판매량이 100만장을 넘어섰다고 알려진 Cannibal Corpse이다. Melodic Death도 아닌 초과격 Brutal Death Metal 밴드가 이러한 수치를 기록했다는 것은 정말 놀라운 일이 아닐 수 없다. Tomb Of The Mutilated 앨범은 1989년 뉴욕에서 조직된 이후 세 번째 앨범인데 귀에 감겨오는 멜로디가 있는 것도 아니고 출중한 테크닉을 소유한 멤버가 있는 것도 아니지만, 작곡능력이나 멤버들의 혼연일체된 연주는 상당한 수준이라 여겨진다. 시체를 난자하는 듯한 가사와 앨범아트웍 역시 또 다른 카타르시스로 안내한다. Scott Burns 사단 최고의 결과물이 바로 이들이 아닐까 생각한다.
