1989년 본조비의 지원사격이래에 조금은 상업적으로 비춰질 지도 모를 셀프타이틀을 발표한 이들은 이런 그늘을 한번에 내던져 버릴 만한 명반을 발표하는데 그것이 바로 이것이다. 과격함과 서정성을 동시에 내재한, 양면성을 절묘하게 보여주는 앨범이다. Slave To grind, Monkey Business, Psycho Love 등이 과격함을 보여주는 그것들이며Quicksand Jesus, In A Darkned Room, Wasted Time등이 서정성을 보여주는 그것들인데 Monkey Business는 너무 신나기는 하지만 바하가 랩을 해대는데 따라할 수가 없어 아쉬운 곡이며 In A Darkened Room은 낭만적인 인트로가 맘에 들어 어제 다시 본 곡이며, 특히 Quicksand Jesus는 서정성을 보여주면서도 뛰어난 음악성과 락/메탈의 본질을 흐리지 않는 곡으로 개인적 소견으로 엔딩 솔로는 가장 좋아하는 솔로 Top 5에드는 곡이며, 또한 Ozzy Osbourne의 Mr.Crowley와 더불어 페이드 아웃 시 끝까지 볼륨을 최대한 높이는 곡으로서 이들 디스코그라피중, 아니 내인생 최고의 명곡임에 틀림없다. 그렇기에 이 앨범에서 필자는 과격함보다는 서정성에 한표를 던지는 바다.
