Avantasia 프로젝트 이후, Tobias Sammet의 송라이팅은 정통메탈적인 요소가 더욱 부각되는 방향으로 노선을 선회했다. 3년만의 신작인 본작 Hellfire Club 에서는 Edguy 최초로 오케스트라(Film-Orchestra Babelsberg)와의 협연을 시도했지만 클래식적인 섬세함이나 중세적인 웅장함은 그다지 부각되지 않고 일부곡에서 백킹의 역할만 수행하는 모습이다. 악곡은 Heavy Metal 전성기 시대로 회귀하려는 인상이나 비춰지는 표현양식은 세련미 그 자체로 정교한 음의 입자를 자랑한다. 개인적으론 2, 3집에서 보여준 웅장함에 내제된 서정미와 극적으로 터져나오는 멜로디가 그립긴 하지만, 본작 역시 고유한 느낌과 감동을 지니고 있어 Edguy의 열풍은 위축되지 않을 것이다. 데뷔작에서부터 이어온 셀프 프로듀싱으로 완성되었으며 Sascha Paeth가 레코딩에 참여하기도 하였다.
