The album was originally titled "The Dream Is Dead" after the name of the closing song. This led some fans to believe that the band was retiring or breaking up, which proved untrue. So, they changed the name to "Life Is Killing Me".
Trivia: The acronym on track 11, "IYDKMIGTHTKY", is believed to stand for "If You Don't Kill Me I'm Going To Have To Kill You," since it is the most repeated phrase in the song, other than "Gimme That."
According to liner notes, "Thir13teen" is pastime music from The Munsters TV show, composed by Jack Marshall, published by Universal Songs Inc. (ASCAP)
A version of "(We Were) Electrocute" was included in the original motion picture soundtrack to the film "Freddy vs Jason."
A song recorded during the sessions called "Out of the Fire" was originally intended as an entrance song for WWE wrestler Kane, but was ultimately unused. It appears as a bonus track on the two-disc versions.
