1982년에 데뷔작을 발표한 바 있는 Virgin Steele의 컨셉대작앨범 The House Of Atreus Act l 이다. Melodic Power Metal로 분류될 수 있는 그룹들 중 가장 Helloween과 연관지을 수 없는 음악적 배경과 사운드를 보이고 있으며, 독보적인 Virgin Steele만의 광활하고 서사적인 메틀을 접할 수 있다. '대서사시'라는 표현에 가장 부합되는 앨범으로 표현을 하자면, European Progressive Melodic Power Metal 이라 할 수 있겠다. 보컬과 키보드, 작사, 작곡을 도맡고 있는 David Defeis의 환상적인 역량에 혀를 내두를 지경인데, Virgin Steele의 음악을 대표할 만한 가공할 임펙트를 안겨주는 Child Of Desolation 등 전곡이 추천트랙이다. 실력에 비해 국내에서의 지명도가 현저히 떨어진다는 것이 상당히 아쉽게 느껴지며, Noise 레이블의 국내판권을 쥐고 있는 샤우론에서 발매를 해주었으면 하는 바램이다.
