에릭 돌피(Eric Dolphy)의 마지막 스튜디오 앨범이자 아방가르드 재즈(Avant-Garde Jazz)를 대표하는 명반으로 손꼽히는 작품이다. Blue Note에서 내놓은 유일한 리더작이기도 하다. 앨범을 녹음 한 지 몇 달 후 당뇨병 쇼크로 사망하였다.
