The Giver and the Taker Lyrics

When the sun sets and I rise from my tomb
The moon is my sun, the day is my night
The daywalkers of evil roam freely in the sun
But soon the night falls
I'll be set loose on these ones

I speak loudly of justice
Of moral and decay
Mankind worked in vain before and it's still so today

Those who believe me shall never taste death
This means, you fools
Eternal life, eternal breath

They are screaming on TV
This is not okay
You should not be allowed to express yourself this way

Have you ever wondered
Could you change the world?
Read real history
Read every goddamn word
First you will marvel
The process wonderful and slow
Suddenly the coin falls down
You found what you must know

Scream from the rooftops
Scream to the crowd
This is your duty now, although it's not allowed

Persecution might come to you
They smear your name
Just smile and go with God
While they will end in shame

Into the battlefield
Fight your enemy
The light that shines in your eyes
Everyone can see

Governments and societies
They do fear my name
They don't know who to blame
And it drives them insane
I'm the reason law is
But no prisons can hold me
My name is reason
And you hate me being free

I once lived in the light until you started the war
I retreated to the dark and you slammed the door
I influence your total life
The way you talk, think and breathe
I'll keep your soul locked in from here to eternity

Two sides of the universe
Conceived in mother's womb
One decided to be free
The other in a tomb
God separated us and so it shall be
Thanks to this we'll never meet
That's our destiny
