Lore Lyrics

Storm is raging in distant starlight
The emperor's reaching for the throne
In secret he's playing every side
Very soon the republic falls
The reign of the dark side has come
But there are good hearts and a new hope
Rebels beside, a newfound son
Who withstands the temptation

Of fear, hate, leading to suffering
Light wins at last - but would we resist the same?

Sing with the wind but heed its warning
Words of old wisdom for your world
Cheer to thе heroes not for glory
Bow to the truth thеir stories tell
Run with the hunted through the shadows
Mourn when the light seems lost and bare
In the end, last page turned
Bow to the truth, their stories share

Lore, we're watching it all unfolding
On silvery screens, from ancient times
A mirror of dangers yet to come for us
And who will be with the rebels?
And who will be on the easy way?
To joining the dark side despite
All the wise words that once have been praised

Hate, mistaken for justice and right
Dark wins at last, when the story's truth's defied

Sing with the wind but heed its warning
Words of old wisdom for your world
Cheer to the heroes not for glory
Bow to the truth their stories tell
Run with the hunted through the shadows
Mourn when the light seems lost and bare
In the end, last page turned
Bow to the truth, their stories share
Bow to the truth, their stories share

What a twisted world
With a twisted memory
Will we ever learn?
All the stories told
All of history repeats
Will we ever learn?

Thrones for emperors
No fantasy tale, this is our world
[Refrain]
What a wondrous life
What a wondrous mind we hold
Can we cherish it?
Our better side
All te good that we could do
Can we cherrish it?

Sing with the wind but heed its warning
Words of old wisdom for your world
Cheer to the heroes not for glory
Bow to the truth their stories tell
Run with the hunted through the shadows
Mourn when the light seems lost and bare
In the end, last page turned
Bow to the truth, their stories share
Bow to the truth, their stories share

One day our own story will be told

Our story will be told
Our story will be told
Our story will be told
Will be told
