The Poetry of the Scarred Earth Lyrics

Bombers beat the drums of war
Salvation dripping from the skies
The hammer is pounding
Listen now, you'll hear
the fine poetry of the howitzers
It's cracking the ground
They speak of an age of fire and an age of storm
It's the poetry of the scarred earth, listen:
''Phoenix, rise above raven tell your tales
bear witness to mankind's coming of age
for every bomb, for ripples in earth's crust
hail praise victory
for every erased thought, for the culling of man
raise the chalice high''
All hail war
Rage on
for ruin in ruins, a wasteland eternal
World's canvass covered in blood
Death's hammer is pounding
Pollockian motfits of defiled humans
Our most blessed sacrament
A masterful stroke
Drive the machine of war
With iron will and hand
It's the poetry of the scarred earth,
Listen: Filter population, ' til words are forgotten
and speech is no more
for ruin, for the furrows of the plough
hail praise victory
for every erased word''
for the culling of man raise the chalice
sing songs of war
hail praise war
rage on
Death's hammer is pounding
Behold the end and behold the renewal
There can be peace, no more
What lies ahead in brave new world?
The can be peace , no more
