Inquisition Lyrics

From the past days this story was told
Unforgotten, the fires burned so bright
An evil time many hearts were cold
For the innocent hope was out of sight

Let the fires burn bright
They soon be in hell
Let them burn in the night
Were they guilty? No one can tell

As the night turns to day
Smoke still hangs heavy in the air
Now for the girl we all must pray
Tormented in hell she lives in despair

Let the fires burn bright
They soon be in hell
Let them burn in the night
Were they guilty? No one can tell

As the first rays of light shattered the mist
You could still see the smoke rise from the ashes
Of the girl now remained just a pile of dust,
That flew with the morning breeze
The emptiness fills my mind
A cold chill runs down my spine
Is there no mercy for the shire?
Will the sun tomorrow shine?

Solo

The devil's here I say!
Open up your eyes and you will see
If we try we can stop him today
And from Beelzebub break free

Let the fires burn bright!
They soon be in hell
Let them burn in the night
On the road to hell!
