Divided by Zero Lyrics

White, black, all colors bleed
Three sides of a story the truth is a dream
Pulled inside out, mythos infested
Unconscious slaves to these circles, surrounding
(Us, them), quick pick a side
Playing your part, an increasing divide
(Bitching about) what you think you might lose
While it's your hand pulling tight on the noose

Divided by life, divided by death
Divided by fear, let's take a breath
Divided by love, divided by hate
Divided by zero

Point, scream, voice of the proud
Cover your ears, prejudice echos loud
The easiest battles are ones that we choose
Any that matter, always an excuse
(Pain, hate), distorted, enraged
Feeding the cycle ideological shapes
(Sharpening knives) to cut through the smoke
Sleepwalking servants to crosses, we choke

Divided by life, divided by death
Divided by fear, let's take a breath
Divided by love, divided by hate
Divided by culture
Divided by life, divided by death
Divided by fear, let's pause a step
Divided by love, divided by hate
Divided by zero

One side is broken
The other is fixed
It all amounts to nothing
When all sides are sick

Left, right, quick turn away
A new controversy is now here to stay
Flickering screens, we are quick to believe
An ignorant part in this catastrophe
(Fight, fear), according to plan
A terminal game that we don't understand
By a blind piper to feasts we are led
Then tossed aside once the affluent are fed

Divided by life, divided by death
Divided by fear, let's take a breath
Divided by love, divided by hate
Divided by culture
Divided by life, divided by death
Divided by fear, let's pause a step
Divided by love, divided by hate
Divided by zero

It all amounts to zero
(Until there's nothing left)
It all amounts to nothing
(The middle's left bereft)
