Additional notes
Recorded on December 30th - 31st, 1978 at Spaceward Studios, Cambridge.
Some copies comes with a small insert offering a T-shirt.
Four songs were recorded, but there was no money to fully produce "Strange World". This song does, however, appear on bootlegs versions of the demo and rarities compilations. In 1996 "Strange World" (The Soundhouse Tapes version) were included on 2CD edition and 4LP vinyl box set of Best of the Beast compilation.
The songs "Iron Maiden", "Prowler" and the outtake "Strange World" were re-recorded for the 1980 self-titled debut album, while "Invasion" was re-recorded as the b-side of the single "Women in Uniform" (1980).
According to some sources, Paul Cairns played on this demo. However, this is not acknowledged by the band.
