Tracks 1 and 2 were recorded at Parr Street Studios and mixed at Townhouse Studios.
Tracks 3 and 4 were recorded and mixed at Parr St.
Track 6 was recorded and mixed at Springvale Studios.

The American/Metal Blade pressing omits the "Pervert's Church" track and instead contains a cover of Massacre's "Dawn of Eternity".
The EP was originally intended to feature only three tracks that feature drumming by Was Sarginson who was brought in as a session drummer. Re-recording of "Funeral in Carpathia" was made with Nicholas Barker on drums before he left the band. Dave Hirschheimer is featured on the music video for the title track and photoshoot for the EP during his short tenure with the band. After Dave's departure, the band brough in Adrian Erlandsson as a new drummer with whom they recorded "Of Dark Blood and Fucking" and "Dawn of Eternity".

Cradle Of Filth의 EP앨범 From The Cradle To Enslave으로 키보드의 사용을 대폭 줄이고 스래쉬적인 리프를 도입하여 매니아들 사이에서 논란이 되었다. 스타일적으로 놀랄만하나 이들의 명성에 먹칠을 했다고는 생각되지 않으며 EP앨범이니만큼 하나의 시도로 보아야 할 것이다. 3곡의 신곡과 2곡의 리메이크곡, 1곡의 리믹스곡으로 구성되어 있는데 충격적인 비디오클립으로 화제가 되기도한 타이틀곡 From The Cradle To Enslave는 상당한 완성도를 지닌 수작이며 그 외의 트랙들도 모두 들을 만하다.
