"Svatasmeden og Lundamyrstrollet" is the story of an old tale from Sogndal, Valfar's hometown, about a blacksmith and the Lundamyrs, a Troll's home.
The song "Arntor, ein Windir" is based upon an old folk song.

The album cover is taken from a WW2-era propaganda poster illustrated by Harald Damsleth and spread by the Nasjonal Samling (Norwegian Fascist Party) founded by Vidkun Quisling. The original poster reads "Mot Lysere Tider" ("Towards Brighter Futures" in Norwegian).
