이들은 홍콩, 우크라이나, 영국, 뉴질랜드, 남아프리카에서 각각 태생하여 영국이란 나라에서의 만남으로 Dragonforce라는 걸출한 밴드를 이루게 되는 기연을 지니고 있다. 2000년 7월에 내놓은 데모작에 수록된 5곡 모두가 mp3.com 의 Power Metal Chart 에서 상위권에 랭크되면서 기반을 다진 이들은 2003년에 데뷔작인 Valley Of The Damned를 발매하면서 일약 다크호스로 부상하였다. 두 번째 정규작에 해당하는 본작 Sonic Firestorm은 데뷔작에 비해 녹음상태, 곡구성력등에서 한층 업그레이된 모습이다. 여전히 휘몰아치는 폭발적인 질주속에 감칠맛나는 멜로디의 향연을 들려주어 매니아들에게 큰 즐거움을 선사하였다. Karl Groom과 멤버들이 공동으로 프로듀싱하였다.
