Additional notes
The band started as a punk band. The members were all teenagers when it was formed in June 1982. On later releases, it became a crossover/thrash metal band, then turned into its modern sound, which blends heavy metal with southern rock and blues.
Corrosion of Conformity has been on hiatus many times, mostly because the members have been concentrating on other projects. Their last hiatus took place from 2006 to 2010. By the time the band went back active in 2010, they had not released an official statement regarding Pepper's status in the band. As the Mike/Woody/Reed lineup released a new single called "Your Tomorrow" and recorded a new album, it seemed Pepper was still in the band but was not actively participating. C.O.C. themselves even stated that Pepper had never left the band. The band announced their reunion with him in December 2014.
