Recorded and mixed in July 28, 1993 at Tico-Tico studios, Kemi, Finland.
The album would later get reissued in 1998 with different artwork. Osmose and the band itself were sued for the original pressings of Ugra-Karma due to its unauthorized cover artwork, created by artist Madame Koslovsky. Initially the artist asked for USD$100,000 in damages, but a settlement about the matter was reached outside of court.
"Hate" samples the 1986 film The Name of the Rose directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.
"Cyberchrist" samples the 1990 film Gremlins 2.
