Additional notes
The band never officially split-up during the 1990s. Marco Pape kept the group alive, albeit with an extremely unstable line-up, which led to scarce live performances and only one recording of a 4-track demo released in the year 2000.
Protector was still "active" until at least 2003, but in the years that followed the band slowly but surely fell apart.
Martin Missy founded the cover band "Martin Missy and the Protectors" in Sweden in 2006. They have been playing old Protector songs since then (also songs after 1989). In 2008 they participated on In the Sign of Sodom - Sodomaniac Tribute with the song "Sepulchral Voice".
In August 2011 the members of The Protectors recorded a 4-track-rehearsal which they released on the 8th of October 2011 under the name Protector. This date marked the rebirth of Protector.
