Additional notes
Acid Bath was born from the union of two existing bands, one called Golgotha featuring Dax Riggs, Jimmy Kyle and Mike Sanchez and another called Dark Karnival in which Sammy Pierre Duet and Audie Pitre played.
The band initially split up a few months after the death of Audie Pitre, the band's bassist. Acid Bath's final show before reuniting in 2025 took place on April 25th, 1997.
Contrary to popular belief, there was not supposed to be a third Acid Bath album called "Killer Rat Poison." Sammy Duet stated in an interview with Does It Doom? that there was a cassette tape containing recordings of him and Mike Sanchez working on guitar riff ideas. The cassette was given the working title of "Rat Poison" as per a suggestion from one of the members after a box of rat poison was spotted in the band's rehearsal space. Sammy has also stated that no Acid Bath riffs were recycled for Goatwhore.
Alex Bergeron was supposed to play bass at the 2025 Acid Bath reunion shows, but ended up withdrawing in December 2024.
