Additional notes
Recorded from November 26th, 2002 to early January 2003 at Spider Studios, Strongsville, Ohio.
Mixed at Chapel Recording Studios, Lincolnshire, England.
Mastered at Sterling Sound, New York.

The album title is inspired by a line in the film Platoon.

"Stays the Same" a re-recorded version from the song used during the credits of the Chimaira 'The Dehumanizing Process' DVD.
The demo version lasts 03:16, the "rerecorded" version (used as a bonus track here) only lasts 03:06.

The voice at the beginning of Power Trip is a sample of trucker saying "He stepped out of that garden and let me tell you this; he had godlike power". The sample of which, was caught onto recording by "total accident," according to Mark Hunter because the studio where the album was recorded at was next to a highway and their equipment would sometimes pick up CB radio signals from trucks passing by. This interface was caught through a guitar amplifier.

The song "Pure Hatred" was used in the Mythbusters episode of "Exploding House" during the "talking to plants" segment.
