Kai Everett Ateselp (aka Chives) is a Mexican-American metal musician, songwriter, and drummer of the metalcore band As Violence Turns Away, He is also a founding member as he had joined in 2017 with Eduardo "EXT" Aguiar, After James left in 2018, Kai and Eddie both went on a hiatus for 2 months and get back together as Kai brought the band together with Harley and Daniel. He left the band in 2022 after having a new relationship with his girlfriend. Sadly on July 14th 2023, he passed away due to an accidental fentanyl overdose.
