Additional notes
Formed in 1980 by Dario Carria, Erminio Galli, and Andy Panigada as Barraküda, the band did an instrumental demo before changing name to Bulldozer, recording 2 songs ("Labirinth" and "Bulldozer", which remained unreleased until 2025) with a vocalist, and disbanding due to Panigada leaving for military service.
In late 1983, Panigada was contacted again by Carria and Galli and introduced AC Wild (with whom he had already played a gig in 1982, along with Rob "Klister" Cabrini and Fabrizio Grossi) to them, reuniting Bulldozer with him as frontman and recording their first "Fallen Angel" 45" single the following year. Due to some problems with their parents, Galli and Carria left the band shortly before the Roadrunner contract was signed. Don Andras was brought in as drummer and Wild took on bass duties, giving birth to their "classic" trio lineup.
Founding member Dario Carria committed suicide in 1988.
The band was inactive between 1990 and 1992.
In 1992 Andy Panigada and AC Wild (now going with the DJ Sick alias) resurrected the moniker Bulldozer to release a series of collaborations with Dr. Dope mixing thrash metal, rap music, dance, techno music and music samples. The style was called HyperTechno and found great success in Japan. Accordingly to the band members more than 200 songs were recorded but only seven EPs were posthumously released between 1992 and 1995. The rest of the material recorded was released under different names and projects. In this period Bulldozer was basically inactive, even though Wild and Panigada used the moniker on those releases.
In 2008, the band reactivated again with AC Wild, Andy Panigada and Manu Collato (drummer from Death Mechanism). In late 2019 band went on hiatus as Wild announced his retirement, but in 2021 they started again to record and perform live.
