미국의 테너 색소폰 연주자 스탄 게츠(Stan Getz)와 브라질의 기타리스트이자 가수인 주앙 질베르토(João Gilberto)가 1964년에 발표한 앨범으로 보사노바(bossa nova)를 세계적으로 대중화시키는데 결정적인 역할을 한 명반이다. 주앙 질베르토의 아내인 아스트루드 질베르토(Astrud Gilberto)가 보컬을 맡은 두 곡 "The Girl from Ipanema" 및 "Corcovado"가 특히 인상적이다.
