Additional notes
The band originally played grindcore under the name Instigator. Upon changing their name to Atrocity, they changed to a death metal sound, as heard in 1990's Hallucinations and 1992's Todessehnsucht. On the 1994 album Blut, they started to incorporate influences from other genres like hardcore, goth rock, folk, and industrial. Later releases saw the band continue to experiment with varying genres on each release until 2013's Okkult where the band largely returned to a death metal sound.
