전작들보다는 나아졌지만, 역시나 귀에 꽂히는 곡들이 많진 않다.
본작 이후로 사건이 하나 터졌는데, Guitarist 'Hillel Slovak'이 헤로인을 과다복용 하는 바람에 사망을 하고, Drummer 'Jack Irons'는 Hillel Slovak의 사망을 계기로 끊었지만 금단증상으로 정신병원에 입원하게 되어 멤버 두자리가 공석이 되고 새로운 멤버를 오디션으로 통해 선발하게 된다. 오디션으로 멤버로 선택된 멤버로는 'John Frusciante', 'Chad Smith'이 되면서 다음 작품부터 함께 하게 된다.

1, 2집 역시 시대를 앞서나간 작품이었음에도 퀄리티가 떨어진 단점이 있었지만 이 앨범은 퀄리티도 아주 좋아요. 너무 일찍나와서 앨범을 많이 팔지 못했을뿐 RHCP의 최고작품으로 손색이 없습니다.ㅋ
