다른 곡들은 필요 없다. 앨범명과 동명인 타이틀곡인 Octavarium.
마치 지구의 생사고락이 한순간에 필름처럼 스쳐가듯 요동치는 옥타브들의 향연!!! 정말 미치게 하는 곡, Octavarium이다!!! 24분의 어마어마한 러닝타임에도 불구하고 한순간의 지루함조차 느껴지지 않는 대곡의 황제인 것이다.
특히 마지막부분이 전율 그 자체이다. 어둡게 시작한 기타솔로는 어느샌가 밝아져있다.
마치 1,2차대전의 혼돈을 넘어 남은것은 인류의 비상뿐이라고 말하는 것 같다.
ps. 오히려 다른 7곡들이 더 지루하다. 다른 곡 한번을 듣느니 차라리 이걸 100번듣겠다.
